Enjoy the beautiful nighttime scenery of Nallikari on our Arctic Northern Lights Camp. With a bit of luck, the highlight of the tour will be the dance of the Northern Lights over the dark frozen sea, under the starry sky.
Season: October 1 – March 31
This is a private experience exclusively for your group – no other participants will join. The experience is available for groups of at least 6 people. You can book it directly through our website at least 30 days in advance. If you wish to make a reservation with shorter notice, please contact us at info@nallikarisafaris.fi to inquire about availability. If you're traveling alone or with a smaller group, you can join our weekly program by booking the Arctic Northern Lights Camp (public) experience.
The Arctic Northern Lights Camp tour begins at the Nallikari Experience Center at 9:30 PM. First, we change into winter clothing, after which we head to our nighttime tent camp.
From October 1 to December 21, the heated tent is set up on the scenic seaside area, as the sea is usually not yet frozen. From December 22 onwards, the tent is located on the frozen sea, depending on ice and weather conditions. In both settings, the tent is heated with a wood-burning stove and firewood, offering a cozy and atmospheric retreat under the night sky.
We gather around the campfire to enjoy the nocturnal scenery and hot drinks. In the warmth of the fire and the atmosphere it creates, we share stories about the northern winter nature and admire the night sky.
While we strive to provide the best experience possible, it is important to realize that Northern Lights sightings can never be guaranteed.
If the weather forecast predicts cloudy or snowy conditions that make it impossible to see the Northern Lights, we offer the following options:
We will carry out the experience regardless. The night in Nallikari is still magical — you’ll enjoy the campfire and the frozen winter landscape in the dark. We will tell you about the Northern Lights and demonstrate how to drill a hole in the ice. Gather around the fire to hear stories about the northern winter nature and the aurora borealis.
You always have the right to cancel your participation, in which case we will refund 50% of the service price.
You may reschedule your participation to another day, subject to availability. A rescheduling fee of 20€ per person will apply.
